Gentlemen,HeadlinesBob went on to play his round definitely listing to one side that morning. Congratulation Bob!
Yes, Bob Pope, commonly know as "Aqua Man" just happened to be standing some 50 feet from where the 50/50 draw was made just before tee time on Saturday morning and yes you guest it .... he had the winning ticket. Investigators are still trying to determine it there was any Devine intervention but so far have not been able to make a case. The $130 was immediately paid out on the spot.
It was on the 8th Tee Box when that infamous word "FORE" was heard coming from the 7th Tee Box. It just so happens that our very own Men's Club President, Jim Werlinger happened to be in the group on the 8th tee box at that very moment. As the air raid sirens were piercing the air, everyone took cover and while Jim was trying to crawl into his golf bag he forgot to cover his butt (the one with the bulls eye on it) and yes, it was a direct hit. When asked about it after the strike he said, "it was a stinger"! It was not know if the ball had become imbedded and lift clean & place rule had to be invoked. After the round in the lounge Jim offered to let the media see the wound but no one took him up on his offer. Jim was last seen applying copious amounts of cold liquids internally to control the swelling!May 17 Results

Rules of Golf
We are hoping to add a new feature to our newsletter addressing the rules of golf. Not only will we provide you with the proper ruling on many everyday situations, but we'd also like to ask our membership to write in and ask for the proper ruling on situations you've encountered playing with your buddies. We would then get the answer for you from our club pro and publish the answer in our newsletter. It seems that there are often different interpretations of a rule within groups, so we'd like to address this topic so that we are all playing by the same rules. Please feel free to forward us any thought's you may have on this topic to hmc@hazelmeremensclub.orgFun Stuff
Through out the course of the year we often hear stories of unusual happenings taking place on the golf course, case in point Bob (Aqua-Man) Pope and his club's encounter with the lake on #5. We'd like to hear from the membership of all such situations (send us an e-mail) as we'd like to recognize the best of the best at our year end finale.
That's it for another busy week on the Tour!Good luck and we will see you bright & early (30 minutes prior to your tee time) on the first tee box next Saturday, May 31st
