Because of the Club Championship the next Men's Club event is being held on August 16th, which is "You da Man".  Details for this event have been posted on the event webpage.  Registration will be cut off at the end of this coming weekend.

July 26th Event Results

The results for the July 26th, Summer Shoot Out #2 have been posted to the website.  It's coming down to a horse race on the Net Side of the event.   Dent / Inglis are tied with Jarvis / Wu for first place. Remember a team will place first on the Gross side first so if Dent / Inglis keep their lead on the gross side of the event Jarvis / Wu will take first place on the net side.  There is only 3 strokes separating the top 5 teams on the net side so its still anyone's tournament!!

On the Gross Side it may be hard to take the lead from Dent / Inglis but the 2nd and 3rd places are a dead tie between Morrison / Peterson and Schmidt / Weatherhead with Burns / Freiheit on their tales.

Remember the format for the last round of the Shoot Out is Alternate Shot!!, which just happens to be everyone's LEAST FAVORITE and probably the toughest so the fat lady has sung just yet!

There are a few teams that have not registered for the 3rd round as of yet.

2008 Membership List

The Membership list posted on the website has been recently updated and now has everyone's email address and other contact #'s posted.  The email addresses may look a bit weird because I have recorded them in such as way that they should not be able to be harvested for spam purposes.  The period (.) is represented as "dot" in the address and the @ symbol is represented by the word "at", and they are in blue font.  They are also NOT hyperlinks, in other words you cannot click on them to activate your email program.
Here is an example hmc@hazelmeremensclub.org would look like: hmc at hazelmeremensclub dot org

Please take a minute to check your information and if it is incorrect please advise me of the correct information so I may correct it.

September 20th Men's Club Championship

The Men's Club Championship is being held on Saturday September 20th.  If you still have your Men's Club Golf Shirt from last year we are encouraging you to wear it.  As of the writing of this newsletter we have approximately 50% of the membership registered for this event.

Men's Club Golf Shirts Still Available

We still have a limited number of Men's Club Golf Shirts available.  The remaining shirts are being offered at $30.00 each on a first come first serve basis. This is a money losing proposition so for all you bargain hunters out there don't let the dust collect under your fingers!! They Can be either charged to your Hazelmere account or paid cash at the next Men's Club event.

** Men's Club "Hole in One" Policy ** New

The Men's Club Executive has made a change to the Hole in One policy that has been in place for the past few years. So far in 2008 there have been NO hole in Ones recorded by any Men's Club Members.

The new policy is:

Any member of the Hazelmere Men's Club who records a hole in one during a posted round of golf at Hazelmere Golf Course, that Men's Club Member will have a $100 credit at the lounge to help them celebrate their great achievement. This includes any Men's Club Match Plays that are played.

Any member of the Hazelmere Men's Club who records a "Hole In One" during a scheduled, Saturday Men's Club Event, at Hazelmere Golf Course, will have a $200 credit at the lounge to help them celebrate their great achievement.

The credit can only be used on the day of the "Hole in One" and for the purchase of beverages only.

This policy will be conveyed to the Food & Beverage Manager at the Club.

So all we need now is for someone to record a Hole in One!!
