August 19th Event
The Summer Shoot Out (all 3 events) have now been completed. The results for Saturdays event have been posted to the Men's Club website. If you have any questions regarding the results please send them to clubcaptain@hazelmeremensclub.org
Congratulations to the winners in both the Net & Gross results. Since I am one of the winners I will not gloat and discuss the win to nausea. However if I were to do I would have to start with congratulating my partner Bob Lewis who came to play and play he did. Of course I did manage to contribute on the rare occasion. OK ENOUGH!
The overall final results for the Summer Shoot Out will be posted to the website later in the week.
All prizes may be claimed at the registration table at the next Men's Club Event.
Before leaving last Saturdays event I just wanted to bring up a few comments on the pace of play. Being in the last group we finished in approximately 4:40 and we were on the tails of the group in front of us. This is not the pace of play that the Men's Club is striving for. Did everyone else take as long to play. Did anyone notice any groups with large gaps between them? Any comments would be welcome.
September 2nd Event - Team Crap Shoot
The deadline for the next Men's Club event is just days away so if you have not yet signed up please do not in the next few days.
The next event is the Team Crap Shoot. For those of you who didn't play in it last year I'm sure you will enjoy the format as the members did last year. The basic premise for this format is that all 4 players drive the ball and then one of the players rolls the dice and you take whatever number comes up on the die, numbered 1 - 4. If the "Sad Face" comes up you take the worst drive and if the "Happy Face" comes us you take the best drive (or what ever drive your team deems to be the best. This adds and element of handicapping that just cannot be calculated. That is unless you have loaded dice and since I personally made these dice I can vouch for their legitimacy!!
First Ever - Hazelmere Men's Club Ryder Cup
The participants for the upcoming Ryder Cup have been finalized. Details will be sent to each participant in the next few days via email.
Here are a few details that we would to inform you immediately so you have a few days to give it some thought.
On Friday, September 8th we are planning on having a no host bar social evening to kick off the Ryder Cup. This will go from 7:30 to approximately 9:00 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to have the team captains announce their teams and the match ups for the Saturday morning draws. We may also announce the match ups for Sunday morning, but that's not fore sure just yet. We will also have the team shirts to present and don't forget about the photo op etc etc !!
The question is how many of the players listed below will be able to attend? In the email that will be going out in the next few days we will be asking for your commitment so please give it some thought.
